Project Overview

Compact Underfloor Heating were selected to provide a bespoke underfloor heating solution for communal areas within this refurbished Grade II listed former private bank headquarters within central London.

Our inhouse teams undertook bespoke design calculations to establish heat loss rates, heat load demand and optimum system design for this unique building to ensure all works could be completed sympathetically within the listed structure whilst still providing an end solution which met user comfort and efficiency requirements.

Final system design included a Compact electric mat proposition incorporated within an 8mm Weber floor fibre self-levelling screed, ensuring the lowest possible floor build-up height whilst also maintaining a minimum 4mm screed coverage above the mats, covered with a layer of Jackoboard Plano tile backer board. All underfloor areas were wired to client determined control points and configured to allow centralised control as part of the building management system and the option to allow decentralised room control.

All deliveries and onsite works were coordinated and completed within the tight site constraints of the central London site and project program with all materials delivered using ‘just in time’ scheduling and all dry and wet trade works completed strictly in conjunction with client program requirement.
